So, I've been using and recommending Caster.fm's streaming service for many years because it's free and allows for lots of listeners. Now they have a new service that uses the latest Icecast streaming protocols, and I've updated our systems to work with it.

Y'all probably won't notice any changes, but I've upgraded nearly all the code, with a "better" Contact page, Gallery, and other stuff.

As always, please let me know if you have any problems, questions, or other input.

I've found a problem that can come up when posting to this forum. Hitting Preview or Submit causes a "500 Internal Server Error".

This seems to be caused by certain text in the post, but it doesn't make any sense to me. For instance, I recently had a problem with text that included "(ID)" in it ...

So, we had a problem where emails for notifications and contact forms were not getting sent. It is now fixed.

It was initially very difficult to figure out, but ultimately turned out that the messages were being flagged as spam by our host. If anyone is interested, it was because I was using PHP ...

So, I put the polisher to the front pages again.

Created a new Gallery page to avoid all that data loading every time the home pages refreshes.
Re-added the Contact page for non-members to contact me/us.
Some other, minor, boring stuff.

Interestingly, my hosting provider is currently looking into this issue, as it seems to stem from the Apache server we're using. It's not happy with the phpBB login link, but it's not obvious why (to me, anyway).

So, PodHopper may well have helped other folks too, by noticing and reporting it. Well ...

Your positive energy helped me get it together, so thanks! In trouble-shooting, I had messed with a thing I shouldn't have. :oops:

It now has my "ugly hack" done as I meant, and it works, including the Calendar. :shock:

I realize it's only a temporary solution what we have now, but the calendar page thinks that I'm not logged in (even when I did login) so it will not let me change the calendar entries I made. Anyway, no rush, I only wanted to correct an entry for May 11. But it can wait...

Right, so I've made a "fix" that is really just a work-around. The login link works, but doesn't redirect the user back to the original page after logging in. In other words, after logging in, it dumps you into the forum index, rather than the home page or calendar.
