Al'Kaera's Myst/Uru Story

Ok, here goes.

My first ever 'electronic' game was PONG by Atari. My brother gave it to me for Christmas one year. So, enuff ancient history. heh.

The first time I was introduced to any Myst game was after I got my first playstation in the early nineties. I played mostly first person shooters like Syphon Filter and Tomb Raider etc. Still like shooters alot. Didn't even know there was a 'Myst' when I tried Riven . By the time I got to Myst III Exile, I couldn't find Myst. Anyway Riven and Myst III were hard, I didn't figure them out or finish either one on the playstation. Part of the 'hard' was the game being on the  TV and me being 10, 12 feet away and trying to 'use the hand'. I talked to the hand a few times too. heh.

So after a few mental struggles I decided I wanted all my games in the same place so I unloaded all the playstation stuff and just played on the PC. I joined Gamespot and kept track of my games and all the new stuff coming out. That's where I found out that 'Myst'  was going to do an online game to finish the series. That of course fell through. In 2003 while UbiSoft and Cyan were still together I bought and registered Myst Uru the Complete Chronicles. A real avie, no more 'hand', I was hooked. Even before it was finished I found and bought Myst IV and V. I guess because I registered UCC, they notified me of their intent to try MO:UL again and to come and see for myself.

Gametap was the way in and during my time in cavern with all of you I have played realMYST, and am playing Riven. It's still hard... and the 'hand' is back. heh.

I must say this about MO:UL.  Never would I have dreamed that my heart would be so utterly taken over, that I would be so totally transfixed by, what I can call, the majesty of Uru. The places, and especially the music, Oh how I love the music of the Alt Vault, K'veer but I first fell in love with it in the Kadish Gallery, But it's all single player until you meet other explorers. Some have even become friends, many share their story, their thrill of discovery, that's what brings 'life' to the cavern. That's where this game turns magnificent.

So I come all they way to urutunes. Not by talent, singing, composing, D'ni Jing or broadcasting. I come because some great friends in the cavern invited me.

So the rest, as is said, is Explorer history in the making.
