Janine's Myst / Uru Story

I absolutely fell in love with Myst when it first came out.  I fully admit that I was so stumped but some of the puzzles, I clearly remember keeping a notebook close to the keyboard for making notes and maps and feebly drawing everything I thought could possibly be a needed clue later on.  I also remember getting a bit snippy if anyone dared to use that notebook for unmyst scribblings!  After obsessing to the point of loosing sleep I learned to reward myself with a few hours of game a day, one to make the game last longer and two to acknowlege the existance of my family.

I faithfully ran out to get them as they hit the shelves and still love the memory of that first sensory satisfaction as you looked around yourself and saw the landscapes and heard the sounds and became whisked away on another journey.

Prolouge was a bit difficult for me as I had not been in a multiplayer environment before and shyed away from all the new people in what had been such an intimate experience for me.  But when I was allowed back as a player on D'mala I was ready to give it all another try and I've not regretted it once.  In all of these years I've met wonderful people, helpful, entertaining and believers in the restoration and all we have yet to discover.  And in all this time so many recurring topics come about when you are in cavern and walking about with your buddies, food and the next party being some of those.  If we could find a way to bring food to the cavern I'm betting we would, but the next party?  We've worked that one out for a certain!
